Mark Bonfigli, Founder and CEO

Mark Bonfigli is the Founder and CEO of Dealer.com, the leading provider of online marketing solutions for the automotive industry. Mark has more than 20 years of marketing, retailing, wholesaling, and service experience in the auto industry, including 10 years as the co-founder of a successful New England-based automotive retailer. Founded in 1998, Dealer.com has become one of the fastest growing automotive Internet marketing providers in the world.

Bonfigli's success has been widely recognized. Most recently he was a recipient of the 2009 Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award for the New England region, and he also received the 2009 Vermont Small Business Person of the Year Award. As President and Chief Technology Officer, Rick Gibbs has driven technological innovation and positioned Dealer.com as a leader in the online automotive marketing industry. Gibbs brought expertise to Dealer.com with his previous experience implementing a web development division for an international consulting firm.

Combining creativity with strategic foresight, Gibbs has consistently led Dealer.com's research and development teams to deliver cutting edge and relevant products that outperform the competition. He has been instrumental in streamlining the development process, bring products to market faster and backing them by robust architecture and logic. Gibbs maintains a vision of continuous product improvement that translates into better value and performance for our clients.

Mike Lane has over a decade of experience in operational development in both the consulting and auto industry. Experience in finance, IT, and automotive have enabled Lane to drive success in the development of e-business solutions.

Financial discipline and solid business planning are foundations of the success he pursues along with unconventional and creative methods of developing key teams for organizations' operational success. The end result is highly effective teams that are in line with objectives to support clients with the best possible service and solutions while achieving or exceeding company objectives.


David Stetson, CFO Dealer.com

David Stetson, Chief Financial Officer

David Stetson brings more than 20 years of senior management experience in finance and investment banking, with a focus on growth companies in the technology sector, to Dealer.com's leadership team.  

Most recently, Stetson served as Senior Managing Director and Head of the Investment Banking Department for Caris & Company, a San Diego-based Investment bank focused on fast-growing public companies in the technology, healthcare, consumer and energy segments of the economy.  Prior to Caris, Stetson was CFO and senior strategic executive at Xpoint Technologies, a venture backed provider of disaster recovery and security software. His accomplishments at Xpoint included helping the company manage an aggressive growth plan that saw the company's Rapid Restore® software deployed to more than 30 million desktops, laptops and servers around the world.

Before moving to Xpoint, Stetson was Co-Head of Technology Investment Banking for Gerard Klauer Mattison, where he was responsible for all new business activities in the software and IT service segments and was an early advocate for web-based software and digital services. Prior to GKM, Stetson served as head of Equity Capital Markets for Lehman Brothers' Global Technology Group, where he managed over $3 billion in equity and equity-linked offerings for emerging growth clients in North America, Taiwan, Europe and Israel. Before joining Lehman Brothers, Stetson spent a decade at Dillon Read where he delivered a full range of services to clients throughout North America and Europe.


Kevin T. Root, Chief Product Officer

Kevin Root is the Chief Product Officer for Dealer.com. He has worked in the automotive industry for over twenty-five years and has been recognized by J.D. Power and Associates as one of the original automotive ecommerce pioneers.

Kevin is an automotive digital marketing subject matter expert and has led the product strategy for major portals including DriverSide.com, MSN Autos/CarPoint and UsedCars.com. He is accredited for bringing over a dozen successful products to market. Kevin has consulted with and developed ecommerce performance improvement solutions for many of the major automotive OEMs and several leading dealer groups.

Previously, Root was the SVP of Product Strategy at DriverSide, VP of Strategy and Marketing at Dealix and the VP Products and Services of Cobalt's Applications Group. He was responsible for product management, strategy, dealer performance improvement consulting and Cobalt's industry-leading research initiatives.

Before Cobalt, Root worked at Microsoft as a product planner for CarPoint where he launched and managed the MSN Used Car Marketplace, led product strategy and conceived Microsoft's DealerPoint lead management tool.

Kevin is a frequent keynote speaker on automotive ecommerce, digital marketing and dealer performance improvement at industry and OEM conferences.


Kristin Halpin, Chief Talent Officer

Kristin Halpin, Chief Talent Officer

Kristin is the Chief Talent Officer for Dealer.com. Kristin has been a Strategic Human Resources (HR) professional in dynamic global HR environments for over 20 years.

In her most recent position, she served as the Sr. Director of Human Resources for DAI (Development Alternatives, Inc.) located in Washington, DC. DAI is a privately held international development company with $400 million in revenue and over 2,000 employees worldwide.  

Prior to DAI, Kristin lived overseas in London where she led the effort on building an HR infrastructure for IDX Systems Corporation throughout London and Southern England. IDX Systems Corporation provided strategic information technology solutions across clinical and financial sectors of the healthcare industry and was acquired by GE Healthcare in 2006.

She also lived in Hong Kong working for Expedia, APAC (Asia Pacific) where she built the HR Infrastructure and partnered in opening up 7 different offices over the Asia Pacific region. Expedia, Inc. is the world's leading online travel company operating more than 50 global points of sale with sites in North America, South America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.


Tom O'Leary, VP of Sales, Dealer.com

Tom O'Leary, Vice President of Sales

Tom O'Leary brings a wealth of knowledge and direct insight to Dealer.com with over two decades of demonstrated professional success in automotive, IT and online marketing best practices. O'Leary's depth of experience includes work with dealer ad networks, direct sales and marketing, OEM dealer website programs, third party lead providers, OEM retail sales and national consumer automotive portal retail sales. His unique experience includes work directly with OEMs, dealerships and online marketing companies, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the automotive industry and the world of online retail sales and marketing.

O'Leary's most recent career highlights have been directing retail and internet sales operations for Tesla Motors. He has also managed the automotive dealer vertical for eBay Motors. As vice president for Jumpstart Digital Marketing, O'Leary managed strategic marketing programs for OEMs on properties like eBay, Vehix.com and NADAguides.com. Additionally, he oversaw product development and customer service Ford's DealerConnection program and directed dealer sales at Autoweb.com.

Jason Chapnik, Chairman of the Board

Jason Chapnik has founded or co-founded several Internet related companies including TouchTech Corporation (Ontario). In 1997, TouchTech was acquired by Homestore.com Inc., operator of the leading real estate sites on the Internet including Realtor.com, Homebuilder.com, Springstreet.com, Remodel.com and Homefair.com. Through late 1999, Chapnik served as the President of Homestore.com's Canadian operations. In late 1998, Chapnik founded The .TV Corporation to market the dotTV top level domain on the Internet. Chapnik received his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from McGill University in Management Information Systems and Real Estate Analysis.

Allen DeBevoise, Chairman of Movie Magic Technologies

Allen DeBevoise has held numerous Board of Directors positions for companies such as iVillage and LowerMyBills.com as well as CEO positions at companies such as TCI Interactive, Creative Planet and AND Interactive. Currently, DeBevoise serves on the board of directors of Dealer.com, Machinima.com, LAT34.com, AllyKatzz.com, Domainer.com and iCreate.com. Recently, DeBevoise was instrumental in the creation of numerous joint ventures on behalf of AOL including TMZ.com and LAT34.com.

Marcelo Gigliani, Partner in the Media Team at APAX

Since joining Apax Partners in 1999, Marcelo has both led and participated in a number of key investments across the Media, Technology, Business Services, and Healthcare sectors throughout North America and Europe, including Trader.com, Dealer.com, ALM, Cengage Learning, Wisdom Entertainment, Capio, Electro-Stocks, rue21, eDreams and Fractus. In addition to joining the Dealer.com board, Marcelo is currently a Director on the boards of Trader Corporation, Cengage Learning, and ALM.
 

Prior to joining Apax Partners, Marcelo was a Consultant for Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), where he advised leading European Media and Communications companies.  Marcelo received a BSc in Business Administration from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

 

Todd MacLean, Partner at Accel Partners

Todd joined Accel in 2010 and focuses on growth investments in the software, internet and technology-enabled services sectors.

Todd has been a private equity investor for over 10 years, beginning his career as an Associate and then serving as a Vice President at Summit Partners, where he worked with current Accel partner Ryan Sweeney. He then moved to Bain Capital, where he was a Director in the Venture group and helped build the firm's growth practice. At Bain, Todd's portfolio included iPay Technologies (acquired by Jack Henry & Associates), Archer Technologies (acquired by EMC), SurveyMonkey, Appriss and Ameritox. In between his time at Summit, Todd held business development roles at several private companies including Synapse Group Inc., a leading customer acquisition platform which was purchased by Time Inc. for $400 million.

Todd received an MBA with Honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA, cum laude, in English from Dartmouth College. After moving to the Bay Area from Boston, he has taken steps to ensure his two young children are raised Red Sox fans.

Mitch Truwit, Co-Head of Financial & Business Services at APAX

Prior to joining Apax Partners in 2006, Mitch was the President and CEO of Orbitz Worldwide, a subsidiary of Travelport, between 2005 and 2006 and was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of priceline.com between 2001 and 2005.  He serves as a Board member of Bankrate, Inc., Hub International, Advantage Sales & Marketing, Trader Corp and Dealer.com.

Mitch is a graduate of Vassar College where he received a BA in Political Science. He also has an MBA from Harvard Business School.   Mitch is the Chairman of Street Squash, a Harlem-based urban youth enrichment program and is an honorary member of the Special Olympics of CT, an organization providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Mitch was previously a member of PEC, an organization established to provide information about the private equity industry.
