Seventies-Style Tournament Becomes Fundraiser for At-Risk Youth

Woody Classic - John JonesMarch 8, 2013 (Burlington, VT)  – Dealer.com, a leading provider of digital marketing and operational products and services for the automotive industry, proudly announced today that its annual Dan Bonfigli Woody Classic event will serve as a fundraiser to benefit the King Street Center this year.  Dealer.com is aiming to raise at least $40,000 to help the King Street Center in its mission to serve the needs of Burlington at-risk youth through its academic, social and recreation programs.

“King Street Center is a very important part of our community and has been such a positive influence on the youth in Burlington,” said Mark Bonfigli, founder of Dealer.com.  “We have been a long-time supporter of them, and we are thrilled to be able to dedicate our annual event to raising funds to help them continue to do their great work.”

The event, scheduled for August 9-11, 2013, at the Burlington Tennis Club, is a throwback to the ‘70s where players compete using classic wooden rackets and some even celebrate in retro attire. It’s a family-oriented event where people of all ages can enjoy tennis, swimming and refreshments throughout the weekend. New this year will be the Rally for King Street Raffle and full slate of DJ-fueled family-oriented entertainment such as Groovy Guy, Champ & Dux the Balloon Man as well as a wide array of complimentary food & beverages provided by generous sponsors.

We echo that effort at King Street Center, not only as we get rackets into the hands of our kids each week, but also as we strive to create opportunities in the communityfor so many of our youth and families. Both Dealer.com and King Street Center are actively recruiting sponsors, players and volunteers for the event. King Street Center kids will participate as ball-boys and ball-girls, and they will have an on-site lemonade stand. Corporate sponsorships are available at three levels: Grand Slam for $10,000; Match Point for $5,000; and Ace for $2,500.
